General Manager of The South Pacific (SP) Brewery, Stan Joyce says that the SP Brewery will start using cassava in its beer production by mid 2018, a move that could be a godsend for the local farmers.

“SP Brewery will start using local cassava in its beer production by mid 2018,” said Managing Director at the PNG Investment Forum.

The company wants to provide substantial growth for the middleclass in Papua New Guinea which is driving them to looking for alternatives to drive this much needed growth and the usage of cassava in its production is an A-grade plan.
